We are very grateful to Teresa Hall our Newsletter Editor for designing and putting this together for us.
Our Chapter and each of our Area groups has been holding their meetings over Zoom. SOME Chapter voted to
extend their Zoom contract, this will enable us to continue Zoom meetings for the foreseeable future. We have
show and tell including screen sharing and power point presentations to keep members up to date on what we
are all working on.
All locations where meetings are normally held have been closed and are unavailable for use. All members are
welcome at any of our Zoom meetings, we are using this time to stay in touch and discuss ongoing projects.
With Chapter meetings hopefully returning to in person September, 2021 we have decided to increase our
Chapter offerings and will be holding Zoom meetings, either lectures or a class every other month. This will
allow those members who are unable to attend our meetings in person the opportunity to stay connected with us.
Please check out our upcoming program schedule.
Our Calumet Retreat, April 6~10 was smaller than normal. Fifteen people attended and were able to practice
social distancing. In addition to this all attendees were able to have their own private bedroom with bath.
April 28th we held a 3 hour Zoom lecture & class. The Jacobean Home with Relics in Situ.
During our Annual Meeting May 18, we held the installation of new officers. Victoria Swerdlow and Cynthia
Minot were sworn in as co-presidents replacing Linda Marchand and Marilyn Sames. Marilyn Sames took over
as Treasurer with Trudi Woolston stepping down. Following the business meeting we once again welcomed
Relics in Situ for a one hour Zoom lecture ~ In the Archives of the Embroiderers Guild UK.
All three of these classes were very well attended and members have lots of finished projects to share.
