Connecticut
Meetings (September though June)
Location: Thistle Needleworks, 506 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT.
CRVC has had two more successful Zoom meetings, in April (annual meeting, and the Designer Across
America project, An Early Sign of Spring by Jane Ellen Balzuweit) and in June (Susan Hoekstra’s color theory
project, Thread for All Seasons).
We are expecting to resume in-person meetings in October, when we will distribute small crewel kits which
were from donated legacy stash, and Rozashi projects from Ginny Currie’s legacy. Judie Solomon will
demonstrate crewel stitches, and we will prepare the Ro for stitching as well. We will use the Zoom option for
select future meetings, especially over the winter.
We are making progress on our Policies and Procedures revisions and expect to vote on them in the fall.
We picked up a new member, and everyone else renewed, so we now have 25 primary members and 4 plural for
a total of 29.
